Txtopia.com provides free, browser-based text tools. The initial tool is a Morse code translator that handles messy input (Unicode dots, dash variants, mixed separators) and provides error diagnostics. Unsupported continuous signal runs are flagged; this version does not generate candidate interpretations.

All processing happens locally in your web browser. We do not upload, store, or process your text on our servers. The Service works offline once the page is loaded.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service in a way that degrades performance for other users
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service for malicious purposes
• Interfere with the Service's operation or abuse its client-side resources
• Use the Service to generate, decode, or transmit content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or discriminatory
• Misrepresent the Service's outputs as authoritative translations in safety-critical contexts (e.g., emergency signaling, aviation, maritime communication)

4. No Account Required

We do not require user accounts, passwords, or registration. You may use the Service anonymously. Your inputs are processed in your browser and are not associated with any account.

5. Accuracy and Limitations

5.1 No Guarantee of Accuracy

The Service is provided as a helpful tool for translation and decoding. While we strive for high accuracy:

• Morse code decoding, especially from messy or unspaced input, may produce ambiguous results
• This version asks you to supply missing letter or word boundaries; it does not guess them
• Always verify important translations against authoritative references

5.2 No Safety-Critical Use

The Service is not designed for emergency communication, aviation, maritime, or other safety-critical applications. Do not rely on the Service in situations where errors could result in harm.

5.3 No Comparative Claims

We do not claim the Service is "the best," "most accurate," or "better than" other translators unless such claims are supported by reproducible, published testing. The Service prioritizes handling messy input and providing transparent error diagnostics.

6. Advertising Policy

The Service is free and may be supported by advertising.

6.1 Ad Placement Rules

• Ads load only after your first translation is complete
• Ads never appear between the input and output areas
• Ads never push the translator out of the first screen view
• Ads on mobile never block the Copy or Play buttons
• Legal pages (Privacy, Terms, About, Affiliate Disclosure) display no ads
• Maximum 2 in-page ad units + 1 anchor ad per page

These rules exist to ensure the Service remains fast, usable, and trustworthy.

6.2 Ad Network Compliance

Advertising is not active in this version. If an advertising network is enabled later, its policies will apply, including:

• We do not encourage users to click on ads
• We do not click on our own ads
• We do not use automated tools to generate ad impressions or clicks
• We do not place ads in a way that may cause accidental clicks

7. Affiliate Disclosure

The Service may include affiliate links to products (e.g., ham radio equipment, books, accessories). When you purchase through an affiliate link, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

Affiliate relationships:

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Oregon, United States, or through the small claims court in that jurisdiction, at your option.

You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis and not as part of a class action.
